90 minutes, always
Long enough to assess, treat, and coach in the same visit — never a 20-minute hand-off to an aide.
If you've been injured in this country, you've heard it. You get the pain, you get the X-ray, you get told to rest. Nobody tells you for how long. Nobody tells you what to do while you wait. Nobody tells you how you'll know you're ready.
So you rest. You come back at maybe 60%. And three weeks later you're hurt again.
I built Bulletproof because I got tired of watching that happen to people.
I was 17, volunteering at Hospicio de San José in Manila, working with patients relearning how to do ordinary things — get dressed, stand up, walk to the door. I didn't have the vocabulary for it yet. But that's where I learned the thing that still runs this clinic: recovery isn't about the injury. It's about getting your life back.
Five years at York University in Toronto — a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology & Health Science, with the Athletic Therapy certification embedded inside it. York's kinesiology program is ranked top-25 in the world. That mattered less to me than what I got to do in it.
I spent those years on sidelines. I was Head Student Athletic Therapist for the Toronto Metropolitan University men's basketball team, and worked the York men's volleyball program before that. Taping ankles before tip-off. Running assessments on the floor while the game clock ran. Screening concussions. Building return-to-play programs with strength coaches and head coaches in the same room.
Here's what struck me: in Canada, an injured varsity athlete has a full team around them the same day it happens. Therapist, S&C coach, physician, coach — all talking to each other, all working off one plan.
In the Philippines, the same athlete gets a prescription and a shrug.
I came back to Manila and did something that looks nothing like a founder story. I spent a year in my family's retail business — accounts receivable, accounts payable, hiring, firing, audits, digitizing systems that ran on paper. Unglamorous work.
It was also the best business education I could have gotten. Most clinicians who open a clinic are excellent clinicians and terrible operators. I learned the boring half first — payroll, margins, systems, people — before I ever put my name on a door.
We broke ground in February 2024. We didn't open until December 2024.
Ten months of an empty shell, a construction crew, and a lease burning every single day before one patient ever walked in. There were weeks in the middle of it where the only honest description of Bulletproof was "an expensive room with no roof on it yet."

Nobody leaves because their time is up. They leave because they passed the tests.
Under two years from that first day of dust, the clinic runs physical therapy, strength & conditioning, shockwave, dry needling, and recovery services, with a rehabilitation medicine physician in-house. We work with PBA players and SEA Games athletes, and we partner with ASICS, Anytime Fitness, Decathlon, and Blackwater Bossing.
Every program here is criteria-based. Strength symmetry, hop testing, movement quality, load tolerance — objective numbers you have to hit before you go back to the thing that hurt you. You'll know exactly where you stand, every session, because we'll show you the data.
It's the part I most want you to hear: the 42-year-old dad with a bad knee gets the same assessment, the same criteria, and the same standard of care as the national team athlete on the next table. Same protocol. Same discipline. Same question at the end — are you actually ready?
I didn't build this to serve elite athletes. I built the clinic I wish existed for every Filipino who's been told to rest and left to figure out the rest alone.

Long enough to assess, treat, and coach in the same visit — never a 20-minute hand-off to an aide.
Your specialist is yours for the whole session. We do not run two patients in parallel to fill the schedule.
Strength symmetry, hop testing, movement quality, load tolerance. You go back when you pass the tests, not when the sessions run out.
Our main clinic sits in the P&S Building on Aurora Blvd., New Manila, across from Robinsons Magnolia. Rehab and strength and conditioning run out of the same floor, and our rehabilitation medicine physicians consult here on their own schedules — so your plan never gets handed to a stranger.
